Subject: VSEVEN HOTELS — UCM6301 trunk-to-trunk routing assistance for Mon meeting
Hi,
Looking forward to our meeting on Monday 2026-05-06. Quick brief so you can come prepared.
Site: VSEVEN HOTELS, Tirupathur (Tamil Nadu).
Equipment in their rack: Grandstream UCM6301 (
192.168.0.60:8089), GWN7002 router (192.168.0.1), 2× GWN7802 switches, several GRP-series IP phones. UCM is hosting the BSNL analog landline04175295093on its FXO port plus 24-ish internal extensions. What we're trying to achieve: route incoming BSNL calls through a SIP trunk to Astradial's cloud PBX (so calls can land on AI / IVR / queues), and route outbound calls from the cloud back through the UCM's FXO so recipients see
04175295093as caller ID.What's already done on the UCM: - Created a "Register SIP Trunk" called
AstradialCloudtodevsip.astradial.com:5080. Trunk is registered ✅ (Reachable, RTT ~175ms verified at the cloud). - Created Outbound RouteAstradialCloud_Out: pattern_918065978007, Privilege: Disable, Trunk: AstradialCloud. - Created Inbound RouteBSNL-AstraDial: Trunk = Analog Trunks PSTN, pattern_s, Default Destination = External Number918065978007.What's not working: When a call lands on the BSNL FXO and matches the
BSNL-AstraDialinbound route, the UCM silently drops the call before sending an INVITE out the AstradialCloud trunk. Cloud sees zero traffic. The "External Number" destination triggers UCM's outbound route lookup, which seems to not be authorising the trunk-to-trunk hop.Specific things I'd like your help with:
- On UCM6301 firmware (I'll confirm the exact version before the meeting), what setting authorises a trunk-sourced call (FXO inbound) to use an outbound route? We couldn't find an explicit "trunk-to-trunk allowed" toggle.
- Is there a global config under PBX Settings → SIP Settings or General that gates this?
- Would a Ring Group with a static SIP destination (
918065978007@AstradialCloud) be a cleaner approach than External Number?- Is there a Custom Dialplan facility on this UCM that lets us write a direct
Dial(PJSIP/918065978007@AstradialCloud,30)and bypass the route system?- What's the best CDR / SIP capture setup for diagnosing a silently-dropped call on this firmware?
Happy to demo the failure live during the meeting. The cloud side is fully verified working — the only outstanding piece is the UCM-internal routing.

2. To BSNL engineer / helpline contact¶
Subject: BSNL line 04175295093 — VSEVEN HOTELS, service questions for Mon meeting
Hi,
For our scheduled meeting on Monday 2026-05-06 regarding the line at VSEVEN HOTELS, Tirupathur — phone number
04175295093. Bringing the customer's account/bill to the meeting.Quick context: we're integrating the hotel's BSNL line with a cloud-hosted PBX so calls can be answered by an AI / IVR system. The hotel currently terminates the fiber on a DBC Technologies / SaiNXT ONT, with an analog handoff into a Grandstream UCM6301 PBX.
Specific questions I'd like answered:
The line had ~15-min silence on inbound calls during 2026-05-02 evening (~20:30–21:00 IST), then resumed working. Was there an exchange-side maintenance window or rate-limit triggered by repeated test calls?
What service tier is provisioned on this circuit today — broadband + analog phone (FXS at the ONT), or true SIP trunk?
Can BSNL deliver the line as a direct SIP trunk (instead of analog through the ONT)? If yes:
- Is it available in this exchange / pin code?
- Cost, SLA, lead time?
- Are SIP credentials and/or IP whitelist provided?
Number of concurrent channels supported?
Is there a static public IP option on this circuit? Needed for IP-whitelist-style trunk peering.
Does BSNL throttle inbound calls after rapid sequential test calls (anti-fraud)? Useful to know so we don't trip it during testing.
Can call-forwarding-always (CFA,
*21*<num>#) be reliably enabled on this line, and does BSNL block forwarding to certain destinations? Thanks, Hari Prasath Astradial ·

3. To hotel manager (WhatsApp / SMS)¶
Hi (name), thanks for hosting today. Three small things I need from you before our Monday meeting with Grandstream + BSNL — would help us move quickly:
- UCM firmware version: open
https://192.168.0.60:8089from any device on the hotel WiFi → log in → top-left it shows under "System Information". A screenshot is enough.- BSNL bill: latest month's copy (PDF or photo). Need the account number and service plan name.
- Photo of the BSNL fibre box's bottom/back sticker: it's the small white plastic box (DBC Technologies / SaiNXT) where the orange fibre cable plugs in. The sticker shows the admin password.
WhatsApp them to me when you have a moment. Thanks!
Tonight's three actions¶
- Forward message #1 to the Grandstream installer
- Send / save message #2 for BSNL (use it when you call them or if you have an engineer email)
- Send message #3 to the hotel manager
